Yesterday was a beautiful day for a few reasons. One of my good friends, Kellie Carter was married to Chris Whittaker. Because of this event, one of my bestie's, Jamie Perry, was in town from California and it was a blast!!! Love you Jaim! Chris and Kellie are a stunning couple, Kellie looked beautiful and it was a great day followed by one heck of a reception! I love you Kellie and I'm so happy for you and this next adventure!

This blog is like a journal and I feel like I need to write about this experience, however, I am warning you now, the pictures may be a little graphic and it is pretty gross so if you get grossed out easy maybe don't read further...

While I was living in Hawaii I got a couple warts on my leg (which means I picked up some kind of virus), and they spread like a wild fire and before I knew it, I had a large patch on my right knee and one on my thigh as well as one just above my ankle. Two weeks ago I went to get them burned off and long story short, they were huge blisters at first and just didn't seem normal. After a few doctor visits I learned that I had chemical burns and also staff infection. Tuesday, I spent the morning in the burn unit at the U and its just kind of been a crazy thing! I'm so lucky that its not worse than it is because it could definitely be worse! Hopefully I can take care of it so that it won't scarr too bad but i'm thinking it'll for sure scarr somewhat. Anyway here are a few pictures of the mess...

Wahoo!!!! My bestie, Makenzie Smart is gettin hitched! She is marrying this studly young man, Trevor Crump. They got engaged yesterday, July the 4th and are getting married September 23! So exciting! Kenz and I have known each other pretty much since the womb and have grown up together since birth. We were inseparable back in the day and have gone through so much together. I absolutely love love love this girl and Trevor is one lucky fella! They are so happy and so cute together and I couldn't have picked someone better for Kenzie. Congrats you lovebirds, I love you!

Another one of my best friends, Sarah Jane Ryther, is officially engaged to her handsome man Jacob Skaggs. We knew they were getting married, we were just waiting for the proposal and it came! Last night also! Such an eventful 4th of July! These two are perfect for each other and Sarah is absolutely in love with this very talented young man. They bring out the best in each other and they even kinda look alike, I love it! I'm so happy for you sar bear! I love you and I'm so excited for this next stage in your life!

It seems like time is flying by and I feel like we're getting old and I'm not ready to be completely grown up! Is that dumb? We went to dinner the other night, to spend our last night for a long time all together (minus Sarah and Syb, you were missed very much). Cassidy, Kellie, and Sarah are getting married! Yay!!! Jaime graduated from Utah State and is moving on to bigger and better things in California, go Jaim!! Jilly went through the temple last week and is leaving on her mission in August. Syb could be having a baby at any time! haha kidding!! Chels is going to Paris in a few days. As for me and Katie, we're just working/going to school full time and playing lots of volleyball, haha nothing life changing but life is good! I love you all girlies and I'm so happy for the new adventures that are about to occur in your life!

Temple Celebration!

Tonight was the Youth Temple Celebration at the Conference Center, and it was AMAZING!!! It was so neat to see the prophet and feel the spirit so strong and see all the youth performing. So much time and effort went into it all and it was seriously so cool! My mom was over the choir for our stake and she did an awesome job. She was so dedicated and worked so hard and it all payed off tonight. The soloists were spectacular and all the dances and songs were so great! The spirit was overwhelming and I'm so happy I had the opportunity to go. I'm so grateful for the beautiful Draper Temple and we are so blessed to have it so close. I know that through temple's we can be with our families forever and I feel so blessed to have that knowledge and gift in our lives.

Cass and I went to the Taylor Swift concert on Tuesday night and it was so much fun! We got our tickets the day of and totally lucked out with the best seats! We sang and danced and went crazy pretty much the whole concert. We had a blast and Taylor was amazing! She is so talented! Not only does she have a great voice but she plays the piano and guitar and she is an awesome entertainer. We had a blast and I'm so glad we were able to go! Thanks Cass!!

One of my best friends, Jill Daniels, got her mission call today and she is going to the Argentina, Buenos Aires, West mission! Go Jill! About 8 months ago, she sent off Elder Gavin Rice who is serving in the Argentina, Buenos Aires, South mission!! Crazy...yes, weird...yes, cool...yes, coincidence...no!!! I am so happy for Jill and this next step in her life! I am sad she is leaving me, but so so proud of her and she will be the most amazing sister missionary! I love you Jilly!

Friday we went to a really fun beach party/bbq with the Evan's (people we babysit for). There were wave runners, football on the beach, lots of surfing, and yummy food. We surfed which was so fun and Kass and I attempted tandom surfing-hilarious! Such a fun day! Later that night we went camping and it was a blast! We went over to the West side of the island which is a pretty sketchy part of the island but we drove for forever to make sure we were far enough away where we would be safe. The boys did some late night spear fishing and cooked the fish over the fire. They caught a huge crab and it all tasted pretty good! They also built a sauna and it was so rad! They dug a huge hole in the sand and covered it with a tarp that was held up by standing shovels in the middle. Then they put really hot rocks from the fire in the corner and poured water on it which caused steam, lots of steam. It was the coolest thing ever! We got maybe five minutes of sleep and in the morning we "woke up" to like a hundred dolphins swimming and playing just out from the beach. Further in the distance there was a few whales breaching. It was so awesome to see! After everyone was up and we had cleaned up camp, we left and went snorkeling at Electric Beach. It was the deepest I've ever snorkeled and we were out pretty far so it was a little scary but super fun!! Anyway the weekend was a blast and I love Hawaii!

So I've been gone for almost 2 months now and I miss my family so much!!! I miss my amazing parents, my cutest ever brothers, my sweet little sister and best friend, princess and jak, and all my extended family so much! Including grandparents, aunts and uncles, all the cousins, and the babies!!! My mom sends me weekly pictures and video's of the babies and they are getting so big! Pres started walking, Noah and Riley are talking a ton and they are all getting cuter and cuter everyday! I just want everyone to know how much I miss them and as amazing as Hawaii is, I can't wait to see them all again soon! Love you family, your the greatest!

Today is my dad's birthday and I wish I was there to celebrate it with my family! My dad is the best dad in the world and I love him so much! He is an amazing example to me and I look up to him a ton. He is and always has been so supportive of me and my brothers and sister in all we do. He is stinkin hilarious and always makes us laugh. Stairway to heaven!

We climbed stairway to heaven this morning at 4 a.m. and it was crazy! Probably the most sketchy thing I've ever done, but so worth it! Coming down was pretty scary because it had rained a little and the handlebars and stairs were super slick. We all made it down safely and there was security at the bottom but luckily they let us pass. It was such a great experience and I'm so happy we got to do it! So I absolutely love Hawaii, and it still isn't real to me that we live here! We have been so lucky and fortunate to have things going as good as they are. We love our condo/apartment, we live right on the beach, and so many good people do so many things for us. We are still looking for jobs so hopefully we find something soon! So the other day, literally the other day, my friends got back from a vacation to Hawaii. The night they got back (friday), they told me they wanted to move there. I thought about it for a few minutes and decided, what the heck why not??? Your only young once right? Sunday I bought my plane ticket and we're packin up and headin to hawaii! I am taking a leave from school for a few months, we quit our jobs and we're totally winging it out there! This is so meant to be because everything has worked out so perfectly, nothing could have gone better! I leave this morning and I'm soooooo excited I can hardly stand it! It was pretty emotional saying goodbyes and everything but it will be a really good experience! I love you all and hope all is well with everyone! So we went to Arizona for Thanksgiving and stayed at our cousins house. They have two Chihuhua's- Butch and Betty. Well Butch and Betty had a little baby puppy who we all fell in love with immediately. Usually I'm not too crazy over Chihuahua's but its a long haired one and soooo adorable! My mom loved him but my dad wasn't too sure because we already have a dog, not to mention chihuahua's aren't the most manly dogs out there. So we begged and begged and the day we were leaving my dad gave in and said yes. So we brought JACK home:) He was such a good little traveler and was amazing in the car. He didn't cry or bark at all when he was in his little crate and he was so good! We were worried how Princess (our boxer) and Jack would get along and to our surprise they LOVE each other! They are connected at the hip and its the cutest thing! I even think my dad secretly loves him even though he won't admit it for the life of him!

Ode to Megan

This is an ode to Megan! Megan was my freshman instructor at TA, and the best freshman instructor ever! She's taught me everything I know when it comes to hair. We had a blast and everyday was a new adventure. Along with learning so much, we had a couple amazingly fun photoshoots, played the i pod game, had some movie marathons and many delicious treats. As exciting as it was to graduate from freshman and move up to junior, I really miss that freshman classroom! Thanks Megan for being such an amazing instructor and such a great example to all of us! You are so much fun and we all miss you! Thanks for everything, love you!

Hair school!

I started beauty school a couple weeks ago and so far it has been so great! I love my instructors and all the girls are so stinkin cute! We've all become such great friends already which is so good because we will be spending everyday together for the next 14 months or so. Taylor Andrews is such a great school and everything about it is awesome! We are learning more and more each day and so far have learned some pretty fun things such as:

Tomorrow I am doing my first weave and all over color and to be completely honest I'm kinda nervous! Don't get me wrong I'm really excited just hope everything turns out good! My mom and Jill are such good sports to be my models, I'm so excited!

Along with being in hair school comes the experimenting on my own hair and as a result I'm now a brunette. Since I wanted a change without chopping my hair off, I decided to go dark and its definitely different but really fun for the fall. We'll see how long it lasts...

Yesterday was my amazing friend Cassidy Kiser's birthday. She is now 20 years old and we threw her a surprise birthday bash last night at Sarah's. Trevor brought her after their date and Cass was soooo surprised! It was so much fun! I love you Cass and thanks for being such an incredible friend and example to me! I couldn't ask for a better best friend and I'm so grateful for our friendship! I love you!!!

It was also Riley's birthday yesterday and I went with the Mackay's to Cheescake Factory. It was so fun and so great to see everyone! Not to mention so very tasty and my salad was huge!! I love the Mackay's and it was so fun to see you Kjirst, Ben, and darling Ella! Love you guys!

A couple weeks ago, we went out to dinner for Julie Kiser's birthday and that was a blast! It was so fun to get all the girls together and have such a fun night! I loved all the aunts and friends that were there! I love you Sam baby and miss you already, you better come down soon! Thanks girlies, so much fun! Love you Julie!

So Friday was a very sad day because it was my last day nannying/helping out with the triplets. It has honestly been my favorite thing ever, and I have LOVED it so much! The babies are so beautiful and I absolutely adore them and Avery. I'm so excited to start school, but at the same time really sad I won't be able to be around the babies as much. This weekend, a few of us girls decided to go up to Logan to visit our cute friend Jaime, and it was such a blast! The little road trip on the way up and back was so fun, being up there was great, and everything about this trip was fabulous! We all went to dinner Friday night at probably the best place ever! Then we stayed up pretty much all night and had the best talk/pow wow which also included muddy buddies, peanut butter m&m's and diet coke:)...On Saturday we slept in which was extremely nice, got ready for the day, shopped a little and went to lunch. We went to the football game which was super hot but so fun to see Jaime dancin out on the field. We came home Saturday night so it was pretty short but so worth it! We loved every second, minus a little parking situation that none of us were happy about (especially cass), but other than that it was delightful!

Oh my goodness so Fall is finally here and I'm so excited I can hardly stand it!! I LOVE the LEAVES changing colors, and the WEATHER getting cooler. I LOVE all the yummy SMELLS and PUMPKIN candles. I LOVE looking in the stores at all the new fall clothes, and GARDNER VILLAGE is the definition of fall! HAUNTED HOUSES are so fun around HALLOWEEN, which is another one of my favorites! HOODIES and FOOTBALL GAMES make a perfect fall saturday. Everthing about fall gets me so excited and I'm so happy its here!!! I simply love it!
